Did you know that when required to wear protective footwear, you have options beyond traditional steel toe shoes or steel toe boots? Composite toe safety shoes & work boots are an excellent alternative. Composite toe safety shoes are often lighter than steel toe shoes and provide the same levels of protection.

Yes, composite or metal-free safety shoes and work boots provide the same levels of protection as steel toe shoes. Composite toe safety shoes & work boots are often lighter than steel toe shoes and provide the same levels of protection. Work boots and safety shoes should fit well when you buy them. Your toes shouldn't be able to wiggle and not touch the toe cap. Your heel should sit snuggly but not too tight. Because of the safety features (toe and plate) built into safety shoes and work boots, they don't loosen up like regular shoes or boots might. We recommend wearing them for a few hours at home before wearing them for a full day of work. After all, you wouldn't wear brand new shoes to go on an 8-hour hike!
Yes, these are waterproof work boots and are ideal for outdoor work or indoor work with exposure to moisture and liquids. If your job site has only light or occasional exposure to water, moisture or liquids then water-resistant work boots may be a better option as they are more breathable. To learn more about the differences, read our blog on Waterproof, water repellent, water resistant: what's right for your work?
Yes, these work boots are insulated and designed for cold work conditions. Optimal Insulation levels also vary by activity level: 200g is ideal for temperatures from 0°C to -10°C with high-activity work, 400–600g works best for temperatures from -10°C to -20°C with moderate activity, and 800 to 1000g is recommended for temperatures with extreme cold temperatures with low-activity, where maximum warmth is needed.
Only used them for 2 weeks so far, but my job is extremely tough on boots and these have been incredibly warm and comfortable. So happy I returned my Dunlops and got these!! If you're in construction and need warm durable boots, I highly recommend!
I like these boots because they aren't too bulky, they are light and the soles are flexible for when I am working on rooftops units in winter. They support my ankles and will keep my feet warm and dry without being restrictive to movement. And they meet my safety needs like CSA approval and electrical resistance. Recommend.
Thank you so much for reviewing your new Baffin Constructor work boots Neil!
This is my second pair of Baffins. My first pair lasted over 10 years. The best, most durable winter workboots out there. They are also extremely comfortable and warm.
Thanks for your feedback on your Baffin Constructor work boots. Your first pair lasted 10 years - wow, that's great!!

I bought these boots 5 years ago and they are still in super good condition, warmest most comfortable boot ever. Cannot day enough good things about them. Will buy again if my first pair ever fall apart.
