Did you know that when required to wear protective footwear, you have options beyond traditional steel toe shoes or steel toe boots? Composite toe safety shoes & work boots are an excellent alternative. Composite toe safety shoes are often lighter than steel toe shoes and provide the same levels of protection.

Dry, indoor work environments in light industries like warehousing and light manufacturing. These shoes aren't waterproof and are designed to provide support on hard surfaces. They material is light and breathable which means they won't be as durable in work environments with more extreme temperatures or conditions that require the upper of the shoe to come in contact with materials.
Yes, they have a grade 1 CSA safety certified compositeoe and plate. They are also ESR-rated (Electric Shock Resistant), which means the soles provide a secondary level of protection against electrical shock hazards.
Yes, composite or metal-free safety shoes and work boots provide the same levels of protection as steel toe shoes. Composite toe safety shoes & work boots are often lighter than steel toe shoes and provide the same levels of protection. To find out more about the differences, read our blog on What are the Differences Between Composite Toe, Aluminum Toe and Steel Toe Safety Shoes and Boots.
Work boots and safety shoes should fit well when you buy them. Your toes shouldn't be able to wiggle and not touch the toe cap. Your heel should sit snuggly but not too tight. Because of the safety features (toe and plate) built into safety shoes and work boots, they don't loosen up like regular shoes or boots might. We recommend wearing them for a few hours at home before wearing them for a full day of work. After all, you wouldn't wear brand new shoes to go on an 8-hour hike!
Light, extremely comfortable. The best work footwear I've ever worn. Not as durable as a regular boot, but the comfort is unparalleled.
I found out after wearing them to work because I have to go through a metal detector so now each time I go on my lunch or break I have to take my shoes off!
it’s looks good, far better than reebok mid top safety shoe. Light compare to that.
Pretty decent shoes. They are a bit warm vs. an open mesh safety shoe. 1 or 2 day break in period. The foot bed is pretty flat. So don’t expect great arch support. The Timberland insoles provided aren’t spectacular. I’ve been using the Form mouldable insoles. Probably switching those for my go to Dr. Scholl’s type for some cushioning and arch support.
Overall I do like them though.
I would say they fit to true size or maybe just a tad small. I’m typically a size 15 and in some brands a 14 works. These are 15’s and they were snug for the first few days.
Now for the one thing I will fully complain about…. I have to pass through a metal detector at work. And although these were advertised as “metal free” the shank in the sole is 100% metal.
Just be aware.
My work around is having a dedicated walking in/out pair of boots and wearing these shoes when I’m inside.
