Yes, composite or metal-free safety shoes and work boots provide the same levels of protection as steel toe shoes. Composite toe safety shoes & work boots are often lighter than steel toe shoes and provide the same levels of protection. To find out more about the differences, read our blog on What are the Differences Between Composite Toe, Aluminum Toe and Steel Toe Safety Shoes and Boots.
Work boots and safety shoes should fit well when you buy them. Your toes shouldn't be able to wiggle and not touch the toe cap. Your heel should sit snuggly but not too tight. Because of the safety features (toe and plate) built into safety shoes and work boots, they don't loosen up like regular shoes or boots might. We recommend wearing them for a few hours at home before wearing them for a full day of work. After all, you wouldn't wear brand new shoes to go on an 8-hour hike!
Yes, these are waterproof work boots and are ideal for outdoor work or indoor work with exposure to moisture and liquids. If your job site has only light or occasional exposure to water, moisture or liquids then water-resistant work boots may be a better option as they are more breathable. To learn more about the differences, read our blog on Waterproof, water repellent, water resistant: what's right for your work?
Yes, these work boots are insulated and designed for cold work conditions. Best boots ever
Amazing boots
Fits foot well and very comfortable work boot
The boots claim to be rated -60 I’m working outside -3 and my toes are frozen this is 100% false advertising I’ll be returning these boots
For work in a brewery, these boots did not last more than 3 months. The soles wore down and holes formed causing liquid to seep into the boots. Very disappointing considering the price. Mister Safety Shoes was great and exchanged my first pair as they were shocked this happened. Unfortunately, the exact same thing happened to the next pair in only a couple of months. It's too bad because they were so warm and comfortable!
