Did you know that when required to wear protective footwear, you have options beyond traditional steel toe shoes or steel toe boots? Composite toe safety shoes & work boots are an excellent alternative. Composite toe safety shoes are often lighter than steel toe shoes and provide the same levels of protection.

Work boots and safety shoes should fit well when you buy them. Your toes shouldn't be able to wiggle and not touch the toe cap. Your heel should sit snuggly but not too tight. Because of the safety features (toe and plate) built into safety shoes and work boots, they don't loosen up like regular shoes or boots might. We recommend wearing them for a few hours at home before wearing them for a full day of work. After all, you wouldn't wear brand new shoes to go on an 8-hour hike!
These are my go to boots for my job. I work in a foundry, cutting off excess metal using an arc gouger. These boots have blisteringly hot spatter fall on them, I walk over slag, sharp pieces of metal, I have heavy metal fall onto my feet and they easily last for a year.
I'd highly recommend these boots to anyone!
I waited a month to write this review because I wanted to see how these boots held up after a bit of time. I normally buy Royer which is also a great boot but find these boots mire comfortable because of the width they come in. A month after wearing them for 50+ hours a week in a steel mill setting the are still very comfortable and holding up great
Thank you for your review, Robert!
Easy to wear and comportable.
Thank you for your review, Jecson!
Kentville Met Men's 6" Composite Toe Metguard work boots 27710 are very comfortable to wear. They provide great protection and leave your feet feeling good at the end of your shift.
These boots are hands down the best metal worker boots I've ever had. I've used these in production welding shops and a foundry and they have taken the abuse well. I've stepped on molten aluminum that has sploshed out of my ladle and despite the smoke, there has been no visible damage to the sole. They have outlasted every other boot I've had. They may feel uncomfortable at first. Nothing insoles can't fix. But over time, they have become very comfortable. I will never buy a different pair as long as they keep making these.
