Yes, composite or metal-free safety shoes and work boots are CSA certified for protection just like steel toe shoes. Composite toe safety shoes & work boots are often lighter than steel toe shoes. To find out more about the differences, read our blog on What are the Differences Between Composite Toe, Aluminum Toe and Steel Toe Safety Shoes and Boots.
Yes, these are waterproof work boots and are ideal for outdoor work or indoor work with exposure to moisture and liquids. If your job site has only light or occasional exposure to water, moisture or liquids then water-resistant work boots may be a better option as they are more breathable. To learn more about the differences, read our blog on Waterproof, water repellent, water resistant: what's right for your work?
Good boots so far! Fit true to size (12) It took a day or two to get accustomed to the fit, and are very comfortable. Stitching, eyelets and boot construction seems like they will be durable footwear for a lot of use. A little concern with the tread in slippery spots, as it is not a very aggressive tread, so I'll see how this plays out.
these boots are very comfortable and heavy duty!
Bought these and wore for only 4 days before the bottom of the sole cracked. Filed a warranty claim and got a $295 credit for a new pair. New pair (8" version) only lasted about 6 months worth of wear before the bottom of the sole cracked again. Love these boots as they're the most comfortable boots I've ever worn with lots of tie room. Won't buy them again as $300+ is a lot of money for so little time of use. I was super excited to try them as I heard amazing things about them. Not worth the money.
Awesome boots
Bought the boots in April and was impressed with the fit and comfort. I work in a parts department with minimal walking and some pallet handling. After nine months the rubber tread between the tip of the boot and the stitches peels off and I'm unable to glue it back on. I don't understand the stitches because they've all worn out around six months and the tread was wearing away prematurely for $300 boots.
